About the Cavachon

Though not officially recognised as a pedigree breed, the Cavachon's appeal lies in combining the best traits of both parent breeds into one delightful package. Typically weighing between 5 and 9 kilograms and standing around 31 to 33 centimetres tall, they are perfectly suited to various living situations, from apartments to family homes. Their soft, wavy or lightly curled coat comes in shades including white, apricot, tan, and tricolour combinations, with relatively low shedding compared to many breeds. Temperamentally, Cavachons are playful, sociable, and deeply affectionate, thriving in homes where they receive regular companionship. They generally get along wonderfully with children and other pets, making them excellent family additions. These dogs have moderate exercise requirements and enjoy daily walks and interactive play. However, prospective owners should be aware that Cavachons crave company and may struggle if left alone for extended periods. With a lifespan of 10 to 12 years, they make loyal, loving companions for the right household.
